On 07 May 2025, New Rummy marked a major milestone with the ground-breaking ceremony of its upcoming 'Efficiency Apartments'.

In the presence of Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director; Prof. Milind Atrey, Deputy Director (Academics, Research and Translation); Prof. K.V. Krishna Rao, Deputy Director (Finance, Infrastructure and Administration); former Deputy Director Prof. S. Sudarshan, Deans, Associate Deans and distinguished guests, the event celebrated the beginning of a new initiative with the following features:

* 120 2 BHK flats for faculty (Wing A)
* 309 1 RK units for married research scholars (Wing B)
* Total built-up area: 46,700 sqm
