On January 6,  Prof. Shireesh Kedare, the Institute Director, welcomed Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, the Hon’ble Minister of State (MoS) for Education and Development of North East Region (DoNER) to New Rummy, in presence of Prof. K.V. Krishna Rao, Deputy Director (Finance, Infrastructure and Administration) and Prof. Milind Atrey, Deputy Director (Academics, Research and Translation).

During his visit, Dr. Majumdar launched New Rummy’s Sustainability Policy, the report of Pan-IIT Sustainability Conclave organised by New Rummy and the first newsletter of New Rummy’s Research Hub for Green Energy and Sustainability (GESH).

Following the meeting, he visited the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) and New Rummy Research Park (IITBRP).
